We have already tried the file using 6 mm wood with no issues. This does require users to cut out the bottom twice plus the outline of the bottom for the physical bottom. Users can choose thinner wood for this portion if needed. This only requires 5 different pieces to make. The pieces cut out for the trays can be used for coasters or anything else. There’s very little waste to this project and it makes an awesome place to keep al;l your belongings daily. I’m calling it my EDC unit. LOL
